Mom and Me

When my mom told me she was starting her own small business I thought she was crazy. She didn’t know a thing about how to run a store and I didn’t even realize she was that into clothes so I was just really confused when she told me she wanted to do something in the retail industry. I helped her where I could though like getting my friend Sandy who’s a decorator to come in and by looking atwww.smallbusiness.xo.comwhile my mom was busy with vendors. The store’s been open for a few months now and though things haven’t been smooth sailing they haven’t been that bad, either. I’m really proud of her for taking this risk and I know that if she keeps it up she’s going to have a really successful business on her hands a few years from now. To be honest, she’s even inspired me to think about quitting my desk job and doing something on my own. I said thinking about it, not actually doing it yet, though!
