Sarah Palin and the Alaska Independence Party

Was Sarah Palin ever a member of the Alaska Independence Party? That remains to be seen but we do know that Sarah Palin addressed the Alaska Independence Party :

and her husband was registered in the Alaska Independence Party. So what is the big deal about the Alaska Independence Party? Let’s take a look at the Alaska Independe Party’s mission statement: ALASKA FIRST!

Until we as Alaskans receive our Ultimate Goal, the AIP will continue to strive to make Alaska a better place to live with less government interference in our everyday lives.

The Alaskan Independence Party‘s goal is the vote we were entitled to in 1958, one choice from among the following four alternatives:

1) Remain a Territory.
2) Become a separate and Independent Nation.
3) Accept Commonwealth status.
4) Become a State.

So why is this is problem? Well why would the United States of America want to have a head of state who does not like the United States of America? However you look at it there is a connection between Sarah Palin and the Alaska Independence Party and that is fishy.
